We require that all brides wear underwear (sound crazy we know that we have to say that!) and suggest that they bring a pair of shoes that represent the heel height they will wear on their big day.  

Our brides are allowed to bring 4 to 5 guests. A private party room is available to rent for an additional fee if a bride wishes to invite extra guests. The room accommodates up to 12 people. For more information, please contact the store. If you have any special requirements, feel free to call the store to discuss them.

No need! At DownTown Gowns we provide complimentary cookies and beverages for our brides and her guests! 

Of course it is up to the bride whether to invite children to her appointment; however during this continuing pandemic we are discouring children and elderly people coming to our store.  Our typical bridal appointment is 2 1/2 hours and usually that is difficult for children. 

We suggest 9 to 10 months in advance, however, we have been able to accomodate brides with a shorter time span when needed.

Our typical appointment lasts 2 1/2 hours.  We do not like to rush a bride! It is a big decision!   

We are generally able to accomodate all bride's budgets.  We have off the rack sales dresses starting at $499 - $699. Our average special order dress price ranges between $999 and $2,000.  

We have a referral list of accomplished seamstresses.  This allows the bride to choose who she would like to alter her dress. 

A bride may cancel her appointment up to 48 hours before the scheduled date.

We carry all sizes from 0 to 32!  Generally bridal dresses are 2 sizes smaller than ready to wear clothing.  It is just a number ladies!

Either! Most wedding dresses are special order if time allows.  As a general rule it takes 4 to 5 months for a special order dress to arrive at our store. In addition we always have dresses available for same day sales as well!

An off-the-rack wedding dress is a dress that has been tried-on in our store but never altered or worn by a bride. There may be flaws or imperfections on some of the gowns and because of this, the dresses may be discounted.
